OVERVIEW
Tangier's technical architecture is built upon the MS Windows-based Tangier EPS
(accessed via the Internet),
web-based Tangier Web, and a common Tangier database. Sharing a common
database in real-time between the products makes upgrades simple for existing customer
who currently only use Tangier EPS.

TANGIER EPS
Tangier Emergency Physician Scheduling (EPS) is the MS Windows-based
automated scheduling component of Tangier. Tangier EPS is accessed via the
Internet and is used for basic
facility and physician configuration tasks, automatic schedule creation,
and schedule reporting. Tangier EPS is written in Microsoft Visual C++ 7.0
(.NET) as a two-tier Client/Server application. The program uses
Microsoft's ADO (active data objects) technology for data access.

TANGIER WEB
Tangier Web is primarily used by providers to manage their schedules via
the Internet. However, Tangier Web also provide functionality for
administrative users to maintain their site schedules. Tangier Web is written in the Microsoft.Net family of web languages
(VB.NET, C#) as a native Internet application. It shares the same database
used by Tangier EPS.
