1. Physicians may enter their schedule requests (off time and
requested shifts) using the Tangier Web™ Personal Calendar
(if authorized by their department).
2. Requests may be entered for the upcoming scheduling period
until the department's "Request Cut Off Date" has elapsed.
Requests may also be entered for future scheduling periods.
3. Physicians monitor their Personal Calendar to track the status
of their requests. A request is initially defaulted to a "Pending"
status until an administrator reviews and approves/denies it.
4. Physicians may enter "Personal Events" to track
their non-work related obligations and appointments at any time.
5. Physicians can view their assigned shifts once the schedule
is "Published" for the upcoming period (see below).
6. Physicians can download the published schedule, along with
their approved Requests and Personal Events, to a PALM device.
7. Physicians can use their Personal Calendar to send their administrator
a note as needed.
1. Once the department's "Request Cut Off Date" has
elapsed (or sooner), the scheduler uses the Tangier Web™ Request
Calendar to review and approve/deny physician requests.
2. The scheduler has the option of having request approvals/denials
immediately viewable by Physicians, or they can use an interim
status to internally approve/deny a request while they attempt
to create a viable schedule.
3. The scheduler uses Tangier™ to create the physician work
schedule for the upcoming schedule period.
4. Once the schedule is completed, the scheduler places it
in a "Published" status, making the shift assignments
for the period viewable by Physicians using the Personal Calendar.
5. Tangier™ will automatically finalize the status of all physician
requests based on the published schedule.
6. Administrators may send their physicians a note via the
Admin Calendar as needed.
