PERSONALIZED PHYSICIAN ACCESS VIA THE WEB
Tangier Web enables each physician in your group to view and manage
their individual schedules via the Web. Physicians can view their current
work schedules and those of their co-workers, at anytime from anywhere.
Since all information comes directly from Tangier's central database,
physicians can be assured they have the most recent information at all
times. In addition to seeing their work schedules, physicians may also
track personal information such as birthdays and dinner engagements to
better coordinate their professional and personal lives. Physicians may use
the built-in message capability to quickly find the contact information of
their co-workers and administrators and send e-mails while their personal
schedule is right in front of them.

PHYSICIAN REQUESTS VIA THE WEB
Tangier Web enables physicians to enter their own requests for time off
(vacations, administrative leave, meetings, etc.) and to work specific
shifts (e.g., " to work the PM shift on 7/11"). By allowing
physicians to take control of schedule requests, both accuracy and
efficiency are improved. The physician request feature includes an audit
trail in Tangier's central database of who entered the request and when it
was entered. Initially, physician requests default to a pending status
until a schedule administrator reviews them. The administrator has the
ability to control the request process by setting a cut-off date by which
all requests must be entered for the upcoming scheduling period. Once
reviewed by an administrator, each request is approved or denied and
notification is automatically sent back to the physician originating the
request. Automating the physician request process ensures requests are
never lost and that there is no ambiguity about who got their request in
first. It is a true win-win for the physicians and the facility.

PHYSICIAN SWAP REQUESTS VIA THE WEB
TangierWeb enables physicians themselves to find a suitable replacement
for a current work assignment and execute a swap automatically. When a
physician searches for a "swap" candidate, TangierWeb's
sophisticated search capability enforces all pertinent eligibility rules,
current shift assignments and physician preferences. Physicians may only
select a swap candidate who is eligible and available to work the
assignment. Once selected, the swap candidate is notified and must accept
the swap via Tangier to finalize the switch. Once finalized, Tangier's
central database is automatically updated to reflect the change. An
automatic notification is sent to the administrator(s) responsible for the
facility where the swap occurred.

PHYSICIAN SHIFT SIGN-IN/OUT
TangierWeb enables physicians via the Internet to document the actual
start/stop times for shifts/assignments, automating the process of
capturing actual hours worked. Actual hours in turn can be used as part of
Tangier's Financial &Time Accounting feature to produce payroll reports
or custom interfaces to internal payroll systems.

SHARE CALENDARS
TangierWeb enables physicians to share their personal schedules with
other calendar programs, such Apple ICal, Google Calendar, and Microsoft
Outlook. Shared schedule events include work assignments, personal events and approved requests. TangierWeb allows the busy and mobile physician to access his schedule from
anywhere and at any time when he is on the go.
