How to view Shift Audit Trails

 

Shift audit trails in Tangier track changes made to shift assignments. The program keeps a record of any changes made to shift assignments that would affect who gets credit for working a shift and how pay for the shift is calculated.

The Shift Audit Trail option is available to authorized administrative users of Tangier EPS and Tangier Web. The option will display changes made to a shift assignment, including the type of change made (e.g. shift assignment, assignment removed, shift times changed etc.), the date/time of the change, and the user who performed the change.

Column Definition
Action Type of update performed to the shift.
User Person who made the shift update.
Date/Time Date and time the shift update occurred.
Provider Name of the person assigned to the shift at the time of the update.
Source Where the update action originated.
 
  • Schedule Generation - Tangier's scheduling algorithm made the shift assignment.
  • Shift Request - An approved provider shift request made the shift assignment.
  • Swap Request - A provider swap request made the shift assignment or removed the shift assignment.
  • User Action -  The specified user manually performed the shift update.

7) Who can view shift audit trail information? (Close Help)

Only administrative users of Tangier may view shift audit trail information. Access to shift audit trail information is controlled by the Tangier Access Type associated with the administrative user's Tangier account. Users must have "FULL" access to the Tangier Schedule/Shift Details task to view shift audit trail information. Setting a user's Schedule/Shift Details access to "Read Only" will prevent a user from viewing this information.

Some shift audit trail information may contain financial amounts (e.g. Planned/Actual Pay Rate Override, Compensation Adjustments etc.). This information will be omitted if the user is not authorized to view financial information as determined by the Provider/Financial setting on their related Tangier Access Type.
